The Official Main Seat of H.H.Khenchen Lama Rinpoche in Tibet. Ngagyur Kyenpo Monastery also known as Enlightenment Monastery (Jewo) is situated in Yushu, Qinghai province with a 179-year old long history. It currently has 200+ ordained monks.
The new building of the Sutra Hall project “Awam Kungarawa” is initiated by our Root Guru, H.H.Khenchen Lama Rinpoche in March 2024. Rinpoche has a vision to built a new Sutra Hall which is situated next to the current Ngagyur Kyenpo Monastery. Rinpoche named the Sutra Hall “Awam Kungarawa”. The main objective of the Sutra Hall is to provide larger additional space to accommodate the increase of monks in Ngagyur Kyenpo Monastery. It also aims to provide a newer conducive environment for the monks to practice meditation and retreats with additional built-in retreat rooms.
As mentioned in the Buddhist sutras, the merits of supporting monks and building Kungarawa are tremendous and inconceivable. The virtues can never be wasted or lost even for a million eons.
